Notice of Scarborough Music Theatre
2020/21 Annual General Meeting

Dear SMT Friends,
Once again this year, due to COVID-19, the AGM will be held online by ZOOM for all of our safety and well-being.
We’re sure you’ve all been curious about how we’ve been managing over the last year with the absence of live theatre and how we’re going to come back when we’re allowed to. The AGM is your opportunity to find out!
Everyone is welcome to attend but only members can vote at the AGM. If you were a member in the 2019-2020 season then your membership was extended through this year. If you could vote last year, then you can vote again this year. If you weren’t a member last year and want to vote you can become one this year for the special Covid price of $15 or $25 for a family. You can purchase a membership online here or contact Membership Secretary, Jan Harvey at SMT_Membership@theatrescarborough.com.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. You must register in order to attend the meeting.
Once you’ve registered, you will be sent the Zoom link to join the AGM. All other AGM documents, including the agenda, last year’s minutes, the annual report, and financial reports will be sent out closer to the AGM date. Please note that the AGM will be recorded for accuracy purposes, but it will not be shared.
BOARD ELECTIONS
There will be an election for the 2021/2022 Board of Directors and we always look forward to having some new members with new ideas to help SMT continue to evolve and grow. All current members of SMT can stand for election and/or vote in the election.
If you are interested in serving on the Board please send a note to Mike Scott at smt_agm@theatrescarborough.com. There will be an opportunity for nominations at the AGM but it helps things run more smoothly if we know about your interest in advance.
The Board of Directors consists of no fewer than 9 to a maximum of 13 members which includes:
One President
One Vice- President
One Treasurer
One Secretary
Up to 9 members at large
