Hello Members of Theatre Scarborough,
You are invited to attend the 2020 Theatre Scarborough Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 7 p.m.
Due to COVID-19 and the restrictions placed on gatherings, the AGM will be held online by ZOOM for all of our safety and well-being.
If you are a member of Scarborough Players, Scarborough Theatre Guild or Scarborough Music Theatre, you are a member of Theatre Scarborough. As the Board of Theatre Scarborough makes decisions with regard to how we share the space and work with The City of Toronto, the AGM is your opportunity to engage in the work of this past year and be a part of moving forward. Your participation matters.
If you would like to join us on August 26 at 7 p.m. – please register at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0lcOytqDIoEtb2L-2gDxZrsMRlryKGpPXc by Monday, August 24.
Once the registration deadline has been met, you will be sent the ZOOM link to join the AGM.
All the appropriate documents usually available at an in-person AGM will be available on the Theatre Scarborough website approximately a week before the AGM. These documents will include the agenda, minutes from the 2019 AGM, the Board Report for the 2019-2020 season and a financial report.
We will also provide information with regard to critical motions that require a vote as well as information about those who wish to stand for Election to the TS Board.
Theatre Scarborough Board of Directors Election
The key pieces of information for you to know about the election process follow:
The Board of Directors consists of 10 members:
– One President (Elected at the AGM)
– Six members at large (Elected at the AGM)
– The Presidents of the 3 member groups (Elected at the member group AGMs)
If you are a member of Scarborough Players, Scarborough Guild, or Scarborough Music Theatre, you are a member of Theatre Scarborough and you may stand for election to this Board. You also have a vote.
Any 5 Theatre Scarborough members can nominate any other member to the President or Member at Large positions:
– Nominations must be received no later than 11:00 p.m. August 19, 2020
– If, and only if, an insufficient number of nominees are available at the beginning of the AGM, then additional nominees can be nominated from the floor.

agm@theatrescarborough.com Please complete the Nomination Form (link below) which includes a request for brief bio etc. and the names and contact information for all five members placing the nomination, as the nomination must be verified in advance of the AGM.
