|Musical Direction:||Henry Paterson|
On the second Sunday night during the run of each Scarborough Players’ production, the Pop-Up Players take over the stage for an evening of improvised comedy. The performance starts with some classic improv games (as made famous on such television shows as “Whose Line is it Anyway?”) followed by a completely improvised one-act play based on the audience’s suggestions. This play, created on the spot for one night only, uses the existing set from the current Players’ show as well as real props, costumes, lighting and musical accompaniment. It’s a truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience!
The Pop-Up Players are: Misha Harding (1949, Alone Together), Chris Wakelin (Tons of Money, Rumors, The Odd Couple) and Carolyn Williamson (It’s a Wonderful Life, 1949, Brighton Beach Memoirs.) With musical direction by Henry Paterson and a dazzling guest list of some of Toronto’s best improv talent, the Pop-Up Players is entertainment that’s fun for the whole family. You never know what might happen - don't miss it!
